So did it bother any other folks out there that Sarah Palin had her 4 month old baby up so late at the RNC? I felt sorry for the little guy; the noise, the lights, the crowd. He needed to be home tucked into his crib instead of having to tolerate all that sensory stimulation, and being passed off from one to the other.
I know that the above has nothing to do with her qualifications to be the VP, that is another post. I am just saying that it was hard to watch the baby being paraded about. A real advocate for special needs children puts the child first.
Yeah, it's 2012!

It bothered me for sure...and wasnt it a school night?
I went away and really thought about what i said...maybe it didn't make sense..i meant school for the older kids...but maybe that was silly to say...but i do think that poor baby just did not need to be there to experience that overstimulation.
What was she thinking?
I understood exactly what you meant, and it was not at all silly!
We didn't watch the RNC. My husband was convinced it would upset him too much. It's funny. He wasn't political at all when we married (not even registered to vote), but he has strong opinions now.
It sounds like it would have bothered me if I'd seen it.
I could go on a lengthy rant about Palin and what (little) I think of her - but let's just say her poor parenting skills are the least of our worries should McSame get voted into office.
I'm not watching the Republican side of things, so I missed this. Everyone has a way of rationalizing their actions, and I'm sure Palin did with this. Maybe the kids napped all day? Who knows?
Since I didn't see the RNC as it was on past my bedtime (FYI, I am 51y/o)I would have to say I agree with you. I feel the same way when I see young children out in the stores at night on the rare, rare occasion I am in them after 8 PM.
Thanks for bringing up this good point.
I agree. We have a 6-month-old grandson. If he "parties" too much one day, his parents have an irritable, cranky baby to deal with the next day.
Amen! A baby shouldn't be a political tactic.
The baby was used as a prop. If this woman cared at all about her kids she would not put them through all of this. We still don't know for sure if the baby is her grandchild or really is her's.
We might know for sure if the older daughter actually does deliver in 4 months.
