Day off

Day off today so we headed down to IKEA for some shopping and breakfast. We didn't realize it but they were giving away FREE breakfasts today for everyone until 10:30 A.M. The lines were sure long, but they moved very quickly and there was plenty of room to sit and relax and have a nice breakfast.

Mostly did errands after that and now I am home and pretty much in for the rest of the day to cook up a storm in the kitchen. I plan to get a big pot of chicken soup going so I can freeze it to take to work and then make a nice home made meal for dinner.

A day sure flies when you are enjoying it!

I'm glad you're having a good day off. What kind of breakfast was it?

Scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and coffee.

Their usual 99 cent deal, for free today. Good way to get people into the store to spend money during a recession.

IKEA is great, and you can't beat free breakfast.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day off.

Take care,

Mike

I love IKEA, too. Have you ever had their sticky buns??? They are YUMMY! What did you buy? (besides the b-fast!)
Lake Catherine looks beautiful. Where exactly is it?

It is sure nice to see you around again! Hope all is well!

Hi Kathy,

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Lake Catherine is in Poultney, Vermont, right down the street from my son's college.

Pretty much got odds and ends at IKEA. Some pillow covers, baskets, frames, serving bowls. No furniture. Maybe next time!

I love the odds and ends at IKEA. My brother is a manager there. They are not allowed to make a profit on food. If that starts happening, they lower prices. I wonder if that had anything to do with the free breakfast. I love to eat there.
