Happy Halloween

Slow Halloween night. Maybe about 50 kids came, usually double I would say. Balmy here, so the weather was good. I did not recognize one family. All the kids I used to know have grown up and moved on (including mine). Lots of folks drive to our neighborhood from downtown and trick or treat here. I was glad for less kids so I could do other things besides answer the door all night.

Meet some friends from my old job for breakfast this morning and that was good. I worked at my old job for 10 years and have been gone for 10 years. I am so glad I was able to keep in touch with them. I enjoy their company and we have some good memories.

We had only about a dozen. It was drizzling a little, so maybe that's why.

I miss the years of answering the door while dad took the kids out trick or treating. Now, I live in a building where there are NO kids. Those were the fun days.

Happy to hear that you can be in touch with your friends after so long. Sometimes it can be hard to keep up old relationships...or maybe that's just for me.

Have a happy day.

I'm on of a four-person 'breakfast club'. We all taught together years ago -- getting together frequently is such a blessing.
We had only about 15 kids come by last night and so have a lot of candy left. :(

Hi. I found you through Jamie's blog. Trying to expand my horizens and earn more friends.

On the Halloween subject. I live in a college complex which helps to keep me young and can also drive me nuts at times :-) We have no trick or treaters here. Not one. I was a bit amazed but it has held true for the two years I've lived here. I miss the days of children showing up on my doorstep in their little costumes, and even the older ones with the creativity they exhibited.

I hope you have a blessed day.

I wish I still had friends from my old job. I tried to keep in touch with them and have tried to reconnect, but they just don't want anything to do with me. Hohum.

Halloween for us was shopping with the kids birthday money. We also took Alex to a few houses in the neighborhood. We chose to have candy at home instead and just spend time together. It was a great day, calm and yet still felt like a holiday.

Take care!

Halloween was fun here. Lots of kids. I think a lot were from other neighborhoods, but that's OK. They're still kids.

I've worked at the same place for over 22 years so, no old work friends to hang out with. I always like it when my coworkers get together outside of work.

Happy Tuesday!
